With a slower pace of life, nightly iftar dinners (a meal to break the fast) and great-value hotels, Ramadan is a wonderful time to visit Dubai, especially if you’re interested in learning more about local culture. Restaurants and hotels offer special iftars, or you can experience a traditional iftar meal at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding in the historic Al Fahidi district. After sunset the city springs to life and many attractions, such as Burj Khalifa and the hip Alserkal stay open late into the night.
